Job summary

Sabre Systems, LLC is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the Battle Management System family of projects at Dahlgren, VA. The engineer will apply robust electrical engineering processes and collaborate with the H42 EE team, with hands-on fabrication skills and experience in PCB design, harnessing, and microprocessor-based control.

The role requires a BS in engineering and at least eight years of relevant experience, including three in design and integration, plus a DoD security

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering or technical field required; eight years of professional experience with at least three in concept definition, design, integration, and engineering.
• Experience as an electrical engineer performing electrical engineering analysis and design, using electrical engineering software tools, coordinating electrical fabrication, and testing techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design custom printed circuit boards using ARM based microcontrollers to control weapons on BMS platforms
• Design harnesses and cabling between circuit cards and external interfaces
• Create engineering documentation for Technical Design Packages including fabrication and assembly instructions
• Assist with troubleshooting and startup of new circuit board designs
• Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, Embedded Software, and QA teams
• Assess operational performance criteria and suggest improvements
• Develop status reports and communicate progress in writing and verbally
• Participate in installation, integration, and testing of changes at Dahlgren
