Job summary

Pixels On Target LLC in Sunrise, Florida, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to own board-level hardware from architecture through production for thermal sight, fire control, and targeting products.

You will design MCUs/MPUs, develop FPGA/SoC digital designs, and manage high-speed interfaces while ensuring rugged, low-SWaP hardware with ITAR controls. On-site role, collaboration across engineering teams, and deep ownership are key.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• 5–8 years of professional electronic hardware design experience with shipped products.
• Proficiency in Altium Designer for schematic capture and multilayer PCB layout.
• Hands-on experience designing MCU/MPU boards with memory, power, clocking, boot, interfaces.
• Working knowledge of SystemVerilog and FPGA design flows, including timing closure.
• Broad depth across analog, digital, mixed-signal and power design.
• Proven lab discipline: bring up designs, instrument problems, root-cause issues.
• Clear written and verbal communication with cross-functional teams.
• U.S. citizenship required due to ITAR export control.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and release MCU/MPU boards from requirements through production.
• Develop FPGA/SoC digital designs, including sensor interfaces and data paths.
• Design and integrate LVDS, MIPI, DDR, USB, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, UART, CAN interfaces.
• Design mixed-signal and imaging front-end electronics for LWIR, MWIR, CMOS sensors.
• Create power and system electronics for battery-operated, low-SWaP products.
• Lead lab bring-up, debug with scope, logic analyzer, spectrum, and thermal camera.
• Perform design analysis: worst-case, derating, tolerance, SI/PI, thermal, FMEA.
• Drive EMI/EMC and environmental qualification (MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810).
• Support manufacturing/test, DFx, fixture design, yield analysis.
• Own the technical baseline: schematics, BOMs, docs, ECOs under ISO 9001.
