Job summary

Exelon is seeking a Sr level engineer to lead and support engineering efforts for high-priority data center interconnection projects including Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and renewable energy. The role involves managing complex, fast-paced initiatives critical to grid reliability and capacity expansion, with potential EPC-led projects.

Preferred candidates have a BS in engineering or PE, 7+ years of experience, and exposure to transmission/substation work; data center interconnection

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or PE required.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical systems.
• 7+ years of professional engineering experience (or 6+ with Masters or PE).
• Preferred: experience with transmission and substation projects (air/gas-insulated).
• Preferred: direct involvement in fast-track data center interconnection projects.
• Preferred: direct involvement in EPC projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead assignments in specialized areas requiring extensive engineering expertise.
• Oversee engineering tasks/projects with significant financial/operational impact.
• Develop commissioning plans and deliver documentation for projects.
• Support budgeting and performance monitoring for commitments.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to others.
