Job summary

Exelon is seeking a Sr. level engineer to lead and support high-priority data center interconnection projects, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), and renewable energy initiatives.

The role focuses on complex, time-sensitive initiatives critical to grid reliability and capacity expansion. The candidate should have a BS in Engineering or PE license, 7+ years of experience, and strong knowledge of transmission/substation design, with optional EPC and fast-track project exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer.
• 7+ years of professional engineering experience (or 6+ with Masters/PE).
• Experience with transmission and substation projects (air-insulated or gas-insulated).
• Direct involvement in fast-track data center interconnection projects and EPC-led projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering tasks and projects with significant technical impact.
• Provide technical guidance and documentation for design, budgeting, and commissioning.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in industry standards development.
