Job summary

Vertiv Group Corporation is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for the SFA/ETO team at the Westerville, OH site. You will own electrical system design for engineered-to-order data center chillers from concept through commissioning, collaborating with thermodynamic, mechanical, and application engineers to deliver high-reliability solutions.

You will develop technical and cost proposals, perform design calculations, select components, and ensure compliance with IEC, UL, and IEEE standards while

Qualifications

• BSEE or directly related degree.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical system design for data center/high-reliability systems.
• Experience with ECAD and PLM tools (Creo Schematic, Oracle PD Cloud).
• Familiarity with IEC, UL, IEEE standards; Lean/Six Sigma and DFx preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for SFA/ETO chillers meeting performance, cost, and schedule targets.
• Collaborate with thermodynamic, mechanical, and application engineers on customer-specific requests.
• Ensure designs comply with IEC/UL/IEEE and internal requirements.
• Perform system-level electrical simulations and validate high-reliability designs.
• Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and Bills of Materials (ECAD/ Creo).
• Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, and external suppliers on components.
• Support process improvement and harmonization of standards within the team.
• Mentor junior engineers on electrical best practices.
• Manage multiple projects balancing development and production support.
