Job summary

Vertiv Group Corporation in the United States seeks an Electrical Engineer to contribute to new Chiller and CW Systems products, supporting manufacturing and cross-functional teams. You will analyze issues, report findings to the electrical engineering team, and drive implementation of solutions.

The role involves designing next-generation cooling products, collaborating across disciplines, performing calculations, and delivering quality, compliant designs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BS EE or related degree from an accredited college or university.
• 3+ years in new product development as an individual contributor.
• Familiar with HVAC design or industrial design of a similar nature.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to multi-task.
• Experience with NEC/IEEE/UL standards.
• VFD programming and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with RS485, CAN, Ethernet communications.

Responsibilities

• Design next generation Chiller and computer room cooling products.
• Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, process, and production teams.
• Perform engineering calculations to verify design requirements.
• Develop solutions for novel problems with ingenuity.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities and implement changes.
• Support manufacturing with prototypes, testing, and cost reductions.
• Create and revise wiring schematics, panel layouts, and wire harnesses.
• Work with software team to verify product controls.
