Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering is required or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of commercial electrical design experience is required.
• PE preferred; EIT with path to PE considered.

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution (utility coordination, transformers, switchgear, panelboards, feeders), lighting/controls, fire alarm, emergency/standby power, UPS, and low‑voltage systems.
• Prepare construction documents: plans, specs, single‑lines, panel schedules, equipment layouts.
• Perform load calculations, voltage drop, fault current, and equipment sizing.
• Coordinate with architectural/structural/mechanical/plumbing/fire protection teams.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, change orders; conduct site visits and construction observation.
• Ensure NEC, NFPA, CEC, and local code compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers; manage budgets/schedules; support client meetings and proposals.
