Job summary

Abbott Laboratories is seeking an Electrical Engineer I/II or Senior Engineer for the Heart Failure team in Pleasanton, CA. You will work on the CardioMEMS system, monitoring PA pressure to aid clinicians and reduce heart failure mortality. You will contribute to electronic design improvements and regulatory submissions.

The role requires a B.E./B.S. in electrical or biomedical engineering, 5+ years of experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in electrical or biomedical engineering.
• 5+ years' experience in design, testing, manufacturing or engineering support.
• Ability to deliver with initiative in fast-paced environments.
• Strong written and spoken communication across all levels of the organization.
• Proven ability to plan, execute and document studies.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to next-gen CardioMEMS products and patient care.
• Conduct bench and preclinical studies to support development and regulatory submissions.
• Improve CardioMEMS electronic designs and document results.
• Draft test protocols and reports for product validation.
• Coordinate and execute activities to meet project goals.
• Support design reviews and risk management documents.
