Job summary

Abbott Laboratories is seeking an Electrical Engineer I/II or Senior Engineer for the Heart Failure team, supporting CardioMEMS product development across sites (Pleasanton, CA; Atlanta, GA; Burlington, MA). The role focuses on monitoring PA pressure to aid physicians and improve patient outcomes.

You will contribute to design and verification efforts, draft test protocols, and ensure compliance with FDA/ISO requirements within a collaborative R&D environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or biomedical engineering.
• 5+ years designing, testing, or engineering support.
• Experience owning and driving deliverables in fast-paced environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to CardioMEMS product generation for patient care.
• Conduct bench and preclinical studies for concept feasibility and regulatory submissions.
• Improve CardioMEMS electronic designs.
• Draft test protocols and reports.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute activities to meet project goals.
• Support design reviews and risk management documentation.
• Understand FDA and ISO regulatory requirements.
