Job summary

Abbott is seeking an Electrical/ Biomedical Engineer to support the CardioMEMS Heart Failure program. You will work on the next generation of CardioMEMS components, contributing to bench and preclinical studies, and collaborating with regulatory teams to ensure compliance.

You will coordinate with cross-functional teams to drive design improvements, write test protocols, and analyze results, enabling delivery of safer, more effective cardiovascular devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or biomedical engineering or similar.
• 5+ years’ experience in engineering design, testing, manufacturing, or equivalent.
• Ability to deliver independently within a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to plan, execute, and document studies.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to next-generation CardioMEMS products for patients and clinicians.
• Draft test protocols and reports for regulatory submissions.
• Support design reviews and risk management documentation.
• Maintain understanding of FDA/ISO regulations and Abbott policies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across a geographically diverse team.
