Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Technology degree
• Eight or more years of experience in digital circuit design
• Understanding of test installations and familiar with test equipment
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening. Must be able to obtain a NASA PIV badge.
• Must be a US Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Support the NASA Scientific Balloon Program in the use of electrical circuits, assemblies, and devices for balloon flight hardware, ground support hardware, test equipment, and/or facility modifications
• Perform complex integration and testing of electronic systems
• Plan the manufacture, installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical apparatus
• Work with engineers in other disciplines in system development and integration
• Act as internal consultant providing technical guidance on complex projects
• Design, fabricate, test, verify, and integrate electrical systems
• Prepare design documentation including technical text, illustrations, tables, and schematics
• Draw plans and specifications for projects using CAD software
• Estimate material, construction and labor costs with project timescales
• Test installations / systems and analyze data while observing safety regulations
