Job summary

Peraton is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support NASA's Scientific Balloon Program from the CSBF in Palestine, TX. You will design, test, integrate, and maintain electrical systems for balloon missions and related ground support hardware, collaborating with engineers across disciplines.

The role requires travel up to 60%, a US citizen, and the ability to obtain NASA PIV clearance. Bachelor's degree in EE or Electronics Technology is required, with experience in digital circuit design.

Qualifications

• Experience in digital circuit design.
• Familiar with test installations and test equipment.
• Pass background check and drug screening; NASA PIV badge required.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Support NASA Scientific Balloon Program with electrical circuits, assemblies, and devices for balloon flight hardware and ground support.
• Perform complex integration and testing of electronic systems.
• Plan manufacture, installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical apparatus.
• Collaborate with engineers in other disciplines on system development and integration.
• Provide technical guidance on complex projects as an internal consultant.
• Design, fabricate, test, verify, and integrate electrical systems.
• Prepare design documentation including technical text, illustrations, tables, and schematics.
• Draw plans using computer aided engineering and design software.
• Estimate material, construction, and labor costs with project timescales.
• Test installations/systems and analyze data per safety regs.
