Job summary

Snap Inc. in Santa Monica is seeking an experienced Electrical/Hardware Engineer to own schematic design and board layout from concept to final deliverable, including complex SOCs, PMICs, and wireless ICs for next-generation Spectacles.

You will lead design reviews, validate PDN/SI, collaborate with mechanical, software, RF, and thermal teams, and travel up to 20% internationally. Strong lab, CAD tools, and battery management experience are essential.

Qualifications

BS/BA degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; equivalent experience.
Strong electrical engineering fundamentals and best practices.
Experience with lab instrumentation and PDN/SI simulation tools.
Experience in electrical design including component selection, schematic design, and layout tools.
Experience with USB, I2C/I3C, SPI, UART, MIPI, SWD and PCIE interfaces.

Responsibilities

Own schematic design and stackup definition for boards from concept to final deliverable.
Design in complex SOCs, PMICs, Wireless ICs and sensors for low-power consumer electronics.
Simulate power distribution networks and define impedance masks.
Lead and participate in design reviews.
Review PCB/Flex/Rigid-Flex layouts and debug hardware issues with cross-functional teams.
Develop prototypes and test documentation; support builds at external contract manufacturers.
Travel internationally up to 20%.
