Washington, DC Office - Senior Electrical Engineer

Working with us, you will:

1. Independently provide the full range of electrical engineering services on projects and lead others to achieve project objectives under supervision.
2. Lead and perform analysis, design, and documentation of small to medium building electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting design, fire alarm, security, audio/visual, and telecommunications systems.
3. Serve as an electrical systems specialist, conducting research in complex problem areas and devising solutions.
4. Create and develop planning and design concepts for complex projects.
5. Oversee the design work of others to ensure an integrated and cohesive design.
6. Present engineering design solutions to clients and review committees.
7. Meet with clients, project teams, code officials, contractors, and others to address electrical discipline issues and develop effective working relationships.
8. Mentor junior staff and participate in performance coaching.
9. Participate in recruitment and interviewing processes as requested.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or equivalent.
2. Minimum of 10 years of experience as an electrical engineer in building design and construction, including power distribution, lighting, and lighting controls.
3. LEED AP preferred; PE registration required.
4. Experience leading electrical teams.
5. Proficiency in design software (CAD, Revit) and Microsoft Office.
