Senior Electrical Engineer - Robotics & Embedded Systems

Full-time | $130K-$170K + Equity (0.25%-1.00%) | Remote-Friendly | PTO

We're building real-world robotic hardware, and we need someone who can own the electrical side from concept to deployment. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and highly cross-functional. You'll be working shoulder-to-shoulder with mechanical and software engineers to make tough technical decisions, move quickly, and ship systems that actually work in the field.

What You'll Work On

• Lead electrical design for a robotic product from the ground up
• Design PCBs, develop embedded firmware, and implement motor control (brushed + brushless)
• Define architecture, system requirements, and development timelines
• Create schematics and wiring layouts with safety, performance, and DFM in mind
• Select and validate components with a focus on power, reliability, and signal integrity
• Collaborate closely with software and mechanical teams to deliver integrated systems
• Run design reviews, track progress, and solve complex engineering challenges

What You Bring

• Strong background in board design, firmware, and motor control
• Hands-on experience with PCB fab, bring-up, and deep debugging
• Familiarity with STM32 or Infineon PSOC microcontrollers
• Proficient in embedded C / C++
• Experience shipping electromechanical systems that work in the field
• 5+ years of industry experience
• Ability to lead projects and work across disciplines with ease

• Advanced motor control tuning and optimization
• Python scripting for test automation
• Debugging low-level hardware / firmware issues fast
• Interfaces like I2C, SPI, UART, RS485, and CAN
