Amica Talent is partnering with a utility-scale Solar & Battery Energy Storage EPC to appoint a Senior Electrical Engineer. You’ll provide electrical technical oversight from design through construction, collaborating with internal teams, external designers and Engineers of Record.

This remote role offers up to $175,000 base salary, a lucrative bonus and extensive benefits, and the chance to shape the in-house engineering capability across multiple projects in the US.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Experience reviewing or delivering utility-scale renewable electrical designs.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, equipment and applicable codes and standards.
• Experience working with external designers or EORs and supporting projects during construction.
• Ability to manage competing technical priorities across multiple projects.
• PE license is valued.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical design packages at 30%, 60%, 90% and IFC stages and drive resolution of issues.
• Review single-line diagrams, DC/AC collection systems, equipment specs and supporting calculations.
• Resolve RFIs and support practical solutions to design and construction challenges.
• Support procurement through technical reviews of equipment and vendor submissions.
• Maintain engineering quality across projects and help develop internal standards and processes.
• Share technical knowledge and support the wider engineering team.

Amica Talent is partnering with a utility-scale Solar & Battery Energy Storage EPC to appoint a Senior Electrical Engineer.

This is an opportunity to take technical ownership across multiple projects, influence engineering standards and work closely with the teams procuring equipment and building projects in the field.

The business is expanding its internal engineering team. You’ll join at a stage where your experience can shape how that team develops.

The role

You’ll provide electrical technical oversight from design through construction, working alongside internal teams, external engineering partners and Engineers of Record.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing electrical design packages at 30%, 60%, 90% and IFC stages, identifying technical issues and driving their resolution.
• Reviewing single-line diagrams, DC and AC collection systems, equipment specifications and supporting calculations.
• Resolving RFIs and supporting practical solutions to construction and design challenges.
• Supporting procurement through technical reviews of equipment and vendor submissions.
• Maintaining engineering quality across projects and helping develop internal standards and processes.
• Sharing technical knowledge and supporting the wider engineering team.

What we’re looking for

An experienced electrical engineer who can apply sound technical judgment, work independently and communicate clearly with engineering, procurement and construction teams.

Your background could be with a renewable developer, owner/operator, engineering consultancy or EPC. What matters is your direct involvement in utility-scale Solar and/or BESS engineering.

You’ll bring:

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Experience reviewing or delivering utility-scale renewable electrical designs.
• A strong understanding of electrical systems, equipment and applicable codes and standards.
• Experience working with external designers or EORs and supporting projects during construction.
• The ability to manage competing technical priorities across multiple projects.

Owner’s engineering, electrical QA/QC and hands-on design experience are particularly relevant.

A PE licence is valued.
