As a player-coach, you’ll oversee engineering deliverables while mentoring a high-performing team. You’ll provide direct support on due diligence, grading analysis, design coordination, and risk reviews to keep our proposals and pursuits nimble, competitive, and execution-ready.

The ideal candidate is an experienced utility-scale solar professional who can balance team leadership, cross-disciplinary engineering management, and tactical execution—ensuring project readiness, constructability, and alignment with construction.

  • Ensure all designs meet owner requirements, codes, and constructability benchmarks.
  • Oversee third-party engineers, owners’ engineers, and internal stakeholders to ensure cost-effective and feasible solutions.
  • Guide site layouts, grading analysis, H&H and geotechnical reviews, pile design, electrical configurations, and BOP integration.
  • Manage QA/QC processes, submittal reviews, and delivery of technical documentation packages.
Proposal & Preconstruction Execution
  • Provide leadership during RFPs, including early design strategy, risk reviews, and technical narratives.
  • Collaborate with estimating, procurement, and business development to deliver competitive, technically sound proposals.
  • Oversee conceptual and detailed design packages, permitting support, equipment reviews, and vendor clarifications.
Field & Construction Support
  • Support resolution of construction-phase design issues, including field modifications and technical problem-solving.
  • Serve as escalation point and mentor for construction-related technical challenges.
Process & Standards Development
  • Lead process improvement across engineering and preconstruction workflows.
  • Implement best practices for design reviews, risk management, and lessons learned.
  • Standardize templates, tools, and protocols to ensure quality and consistency across projects.
