Job summary

Plan B Climatech is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with 5–15+ years of experience to lead electrical design for complex building systems. You will manage distribution, layouts, sizing, and topologies, and review drawings in AutoCAD and Revit while coordinating with design teams and clients.

This role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited) and a PE license, with deep knowledge of NEC and energy codes.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Electrical Engineering and PE license required.
• 5–15+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• Deep knowledge of NEC, life safety, and energy codes.
• Strong grasp of electrical topologies, short circuit/arc flash studies, equipment sizing, load calcs.
• Proven ability to lead and delegate across a design team.

We're currently working with a large client base of MEP design firms looking for Senior Electrical Engineers (3–15 years' experience) to support them on the project types above. These client firms range from 20 to 600+ employees.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design: distribution systems, topologies, equipment layout and sizing


• Produce and review drawings/specs in AutoCAD and Revit


• Manage design teams and resource forecasting


• Flag scope changes early and protect budget/schedule


• Own client relationships as primary technical contact


• Lead pre-construction surveys and documentation


• Review shop drawings, RFIs, and punch lists


• Push adoption of AI and digital tools to boost speed and accuracy

What You Bring
