Job summary

Pro Staff in Houston, TX is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for direct-hire. Lead electrical design for energy storage, hybrid power, and industrial systems; develop schematics, one-line diagrams, wiring, panel layouts, grounding; contribute from concept through commissioning.

Requirements include 5+ years in electrical engineering (preferably with BESS), Bachelor's in Electrical Eng, PE preferred but not required; proficiency with CAD tools (AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical),

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience, preferably with battery energy storage systems (BESS).
• Proficiency with power electronics, industrial controls, and power distribution systems.
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar CAD software.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, UL 508A, UL 9540, IEEE standards, and industrial communication protocols is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and integration for energy storage and industrial power systems.
• Develop electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
• Design and integrate AC/DC power distribution, batteries, converters, transformers, switchgear, controls, and interfaces.
• Perform engineering calculations including load analysis, voltage drop, fault current, grounding, and protection studies.
• Support product development, manufacturing, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Lead design reviews, testing activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, customers, vendors, and field service teams.
• Mentor engineers and technicians through technical guidance and peer review.
