Job summary

Leoforce in Dallas, TX is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design, analysis, and implementation of electrical power systems for commercial, industrial, and utility projects. The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience across concept through commissioning.

You will work with HV/MV systems, protection schemes, and grid interconnection, using ETAP/PSCAD and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in power plants, renewable energy, or industrial power systems across full project lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of HV/MV electrical systems, protection schemes, and grid integration.
• Proficiency with ETAP, PSCAD, or similar power system analysis software; AutoCAD experience is a plus.
• Experience developing and reviewing IFC-level drawings (single-line diagrams, protection schematics, cable schedules, grounding designs).
• Working knowledge of IEEE, IEC, NEC and utility interconnection requirements.
• Understanding HV/MV construction practices, QA/QC, commissioning, testing, and field implementation.

Job Details

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 8+ years of experience in power plants, renewable energy, or industrial power systems, with experience throughout the full project lifecycle—from conceptual design and FEED through detailed EPC design, construction, and commissioning.
• Power Systems Expertise: Strong knowledge of HV/MV electrical systems, protection schemes, and grid integration.
• Software: Proficiency with ETAP, PSCAD, or similar power system analysis software; AutoCAD experience is a plus.
• Design Deliverables: Experience developing and reviewing IFC-level drawings, including single-line diagrams, protection schematics, cable schedules, and grounding designs.
• Codes & Standards: Working knowledge of IEEE, IEC, NEC, and utility interconnection requirements.
