Responsibilities
Collaborate with a team of mechanical and electrical engineers, design drafters, and cross-functional departments (Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales, and others) to develop Switchgears, Motor Control Centers, and Electrical Equipment Centers.
Produce comprehensive engineering design packages for the manufacturing of Electrical Equipment Centers (EEC), including Mechanical Assembly, Architectural/Structural components, Electrical Assembly, Grounding, Low Voltage Power Distribution, Lighting, HVAC, Fire Alarm, Telecommunications, Raceway Systems, and installation of Major Power Distribution Equipment (including Medium Voltage/Low Voltage Switchgear and Motor Control Centers) and Customer Free Issued Equipment.
Perform design load calculations, create interconnection schematics, wiring diagrams, and cable schedules, and serve as the primary technical focal point throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage project setup, ensuring adherence to documentation, engineering, and quality standards.
Maintain understanding of the contracted scope of supply, allocated budget, and critical scheduling milestones.
Develop technical bills of materials and coordinate with Procurement to facilitate purchasing.
Coordinate with customers, other engineering disciplines, vendors, and internal colleagues to guarantee a fully functional system.
Lead a team of designers and drafters, ensure engineering data inputs support efficient labor utilization, and oversee design deliverables for compliance with codes, customer requirements, and internal standards.
Coordinate with the document control department to support the transmittal process of project submissions.
Create project-specific test plans based on contract requirements and coordinate with quality and testing teams to execute approved plans.
Perform testing tasks from the approved Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) / Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) plan, drive punch list resolution, and ensure testing documentation is completed and signed per contract requirements.
