Thomas Young Group in Chicago seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical discipline across multiple MEP projects in commercial, healthcare, education, biotech, and transportation sectors. You will design innovative electrical systems and collaborate directly with clients to define goals and deliverables.
You'll mentor junior staff, support project managers with schedules and budgets, and ensure designs meet codes and best practices in a fast-paced environment.

Lead the electrical discipline on multiple MEP projects across commercial, healthcare, education, biotech, and transportation sectors
Design efficient, innovative, and complex electrical systems tailored to each project
Work directly with clients to define project goals and deliverables
Mentor junior design staff, providing technical guidance and quality oversight
Support project managers in coordinating schedules, budgets, and multidisciplinary integration
Ensure all electrical designs comply with codes, standards, and best practices
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
10+ years of experience in MEP design and consulting
Proven project management experience within MEP engineering environments
Strong client relationship and communication skills
Deep knowledge of building codes and electrical design systems
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced setting
Preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent experience
LEED accreditation
Proficiency with Revit and other design software
