Job summary

Staengl Engineering in Charlottesville, Virginia, is seeking an experienced electrical design engineer to design electrical systems for commercial and multifamily buildings using Revit.

You will lead MEP projects, ensure quality and efficiency, and contribute to solar, wind, and battery energy storage system designs on sustainable, high-performance building projects.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork are essential; a PE license and a bachelor's in EE are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and an Electrical Engineering PE license.
• Proficient in Revit and BIM; strong communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Job description

Design electrical systems for commercial and multifamily residential buildings using Revit, and lead MEP projects to ensure quality and efficiency. Contribute to solar, wind, and battery energy storage system designs while collaborating on sustainable, high-performance building projects.

Requirements:

Requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, an Electrical Engineering Professional Engineer (PE) license, and at least five years of building electrical system design experience. Candidates should be proficient in Revit, familiar with BIM, and have strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills; LEED AP certification and renewable energy experience are bonuses.
