Job summary

WSP in the U.S. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design, analysis, and documentation of building electrical systems and renewable energy projects in Irvine, CA.

You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and assist with feasibility, permitting, construction, field assessment, and commissioning. Requirements include a ABET-accredited EE degree, 1-3 years of experience, and EIT or ability to obtain within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience and EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Working knowledge of electrical power systems and building design; familiarity with codes.

Job description

Support the design, analysis, and documentation of building electrical systems and renewable energy projects, including solar PV, battery storage, microgrids, and EV charging. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and assist with project activities across feasibility, permitting, construction, field assessment, and commissioning.

Requirements: Requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, 1-3 years of relevant experience, and EIT certification or the ability to obtain it within 12 months. Candidates should have working knowledge of electrical power systems and building design, familiarity with electrical and building codes, and experience with relevant engineering software; renewable energy experience and sustainability credentials are preferred.
