Overview

RLM Engineering is a full-service mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire sprinkler design firm focused on the building retrofit market in the NYC and Long Island area. RLM Engineering is seeking an electrical engineer with experience in tenant fit-out, electrical upgrades, electrical infrastructure design and fire alarm systems for a wide variety of building/facility renovation projects. This position will entail designing building systems and tenant spaces based on client’s needs.

Responsibilities

• Design building systems and tenant spaces based on client needs.
• Write specifications and perform CAD drafting.
• Coordinate with other trades; perform site visits to client facilities; and coordinate with clients, sub-consultants, and regulatory agencies.
• Work directly with clients daily as a capable communicator.
• Manage engineering design projects to deliver a quality product for the client.
• Utilize AutoCAD and REVIT in project work.

Experience/Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent.
• 4+ years of electrical industry experience.
• Full-time in-office position.
• PE license preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD and REVIT is required.
