RLM Engineering PLLC is a full-service mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire sprinkler design firm serving the NYC and Long Island area. We seek a Mechanical Design Engineer to design HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems for diverse renovation projects.

The role involves writing specifications, CAD drafting, coordinating with engineers and clients, site visits, and managing design projects to deliver a quality product. AutoCAD and REVIT experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• PE registration preferred.
• Experience in designing HVAC, Fire Protection, and Plumbing.
• Ability to work independently and with a team on design projects, drawings, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Design building systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) for renovation projects.
• Write specifications and perform CAD drafting.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers, subconsultants and clients; visit client facilities.
• Manage engineering design projects to deliver quality results for clients.

RLM Engineering is a full-service mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire sprinkler design firm. The firm is focused on the building retrofit market in the NYC and Long Island area.

RLM Engineering is seeking a mechanical engineer with experience in designing HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems for a wide variety of building/facility renovation projects. This position will entail designing building systems and tenant spaces based on client’s needs.

In addition to engineering design, duties will include writing specifications; CAD drafting; coordinating with electrical engineers, performing site visits to client facilities; and coordinating with clients, subconsultants, and regulatory agencies. Good communicator that will be capable of working face to face with clients daily. Ability to manage engineering design projects to provide a quality product for the client. Experience with AutoCAD and REVIT is required.
