Job description

Overview

PAE is seeking a visionary and technically skilled Senior Electrical Engineer in our Boston office to provide high-level project leadership and technical mastery within our electrical department. In this role, you will oversee the full lifecycle of complex building projects, serve as a primary technical resource, and mentor junior staff. As a potential Engineer of Record (EOR), you will leverage expertise in power distribution, lighting design, and advanced system analysis to deliver code-compliant solutions while fostering strong client and partner relationships.

What You’ll Do
  • Project team leadership and management, ensuring on-time delivery within budget
  • Prepare deliverables including narratives, calculations, drawings, and specifications
  • Attend client meetings and lead coordination between external and internal project teams
  • Independently apply engineering judgment and procedures from concept through construction
  • Proficient in electrical system distribution, lighting, and power system design
  • Assemble effective project teams
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary work and ensure alignment with building codes and electrical standards
  • Oversee engineering calculations and equipment selection
  • Perform site visits and issue reports
  • Provide training, guidance, and mentorship for staff
  • Update master specifications and standards; improve company processes
  • Apply distribution load flow, short circuit, and arc flash energy analysis using Easy Power
  • Develop client relationships
  • Oversee project quality management plan (QMP) application
  • May serve as Project Manager or Engineer of Record (EOR) with approval
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline
  • Relevant Professional Credential (e.g., PE)
  • Minimum 1-3 years of Electrical E-4 or 6-10 years of related experience

What We Offer
  • Hiring Base Salary Range: $113,600-$142,000 annual
  • Overtime eligible for time and a half

The base salary is one component of PAE’s compensation package. We consider factors including skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, internal equity, and geographic location. Employees are eligible for annual compensation reviews based on performance and business needs. The above range is a good faith estimate of the compensation at posting.
