Employee Workplace seeks an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer in Austin, TX to design, prototype, and deploy automated hardware and test solutions. You will develop requirements, specs, and BOMs while collaborating with customers and partners worldwide to lead complex engineering initiatives from concept to implementation.

The role requires 5+ years in electrical systems design with LabVIEW/TestStand/C/C++/C# expertise, CAD/PCB experience, and ability to obtain DoD clearances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electronics Engineering Technology.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical systems design, hardware engineering, or test engineering.
• U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder able to support ITAR-related projects and qualify for DoD clearances.
• Proficient with LabVIEW, TestStand, C, C++, or C#.
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams, and support hardware/software integration.
• Experience with CAD tools and PCB design.

Job Duties

• Design, prototype, test, and deploy automated hardware and test solutions
• Develop project requirements, technical specifications, statements of work, and bills of materials
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, manufacturing partners, and engineering teams
• Manage project milestones, technical deliverables, and system readiness reviews
• Troubleshoot complex hardware and software integration challenges
• Guide technical decisions and support issue resolution throughout project lifecycles
• Travel up to 25% domestically and internationally as required

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electronics Engineering Technology
• 5+ years of experience in electrical systems design, hardware engineering, or test engineering

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, electronics, computer architecture, and instrumentation
