Job summary

Nexus Semiconductor Recruitment is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its R&D team in Austin, Texas. You will own complex hardware projects from concept to production, shaping next-generation industrial control and power technologies used in data centers and energy facilities.

You will lead PCB development, design analog and mixed-signal circuits, and collaborate with firmware, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure reliable, scalable products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience developing commercial electronic products from concept through production.
• Strong PCB design experience with schematic capture, layout review, and manufacturing release.
• Experience in analog and mixed-signal circuit design, sensing, and power electronics.
• Experience with circuit simulation and design verification tools.
• Knowledge of EMC, isolation, thermal management, and reliability-focused design.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of advanced electronic hardware systems from concept, architecture, and detailed design through validation and release.
• Drive PCB development activities, including schematic capture, layout oversight, design reviews, and manufacturing readiness.
• Develop analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuitry for sensing, monitoring, control, power management, and communication applications.
• Conduct system bring-up, verification, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis using structured engineering methodologies.
• Collaborate with firmware, manufacturing, quality, and compliance teams to ensure reliable and scalable product delivery.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers while contributing to engineering standards and best practices.

• Demonstrated ability to leverage modern engineering productivity tools while maintaining strong technical and commercial judgment.
