Job summary

Engtal's Austin client seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to design electrical components and systems for advanced semiconductor manufacturing tools. The role is full-time and permanent, focused on delivering robust power, motion, and signal integration for next-generation equipment.

Responsibilities include using electrical CAD tools (Altium or OrCAD) to create wiring diagrams, integrating sensors, PLCs, analog/digital circuits, and documenting build/test procedures.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering and minimum 3-7 years of experience in electrical design for semiconductor equipment, precision motion, robotics or other similar functions is preferred; non-degreed candidates with the right experience will also be considered.
• Broad experience in electrical design preferred; must be willing and able to design, integrate, test and document multiple systems with initiative.
• Experience using electrical CAD software such as Altium or OrCAD
• PCB design experience is a plus
• Work knowledge of semiconductor equipment PLM and engineering database such as Agile is preferred

Electrical Engineer – Semiconductor Tool Design

Our client in Austin is on the leading edge of semiconductor process technology and they have an immediate opening for a Senior Electrical Engineer. The person in this position will be designing electrical components and systems for new semiconductor manufacturing tools. This is a full time permanent position.

• Utilize electrical CAD software to conceptualize and design wiring diagrams for multiple systems on prototype semiconductor tools using schematic capture and layout for PCB.
• Efficiently integrate multiple systems including power distribution, sensors, motion, analog, digital, amplifier design, embedded design, PLC’s, etc. C language and PSoC understanding is desirable.
• Develop and document build / test procedures: manuals, test documents, test fixtures, and prototypes.
• Work with other teams to understand their technical problems and how they interact/impact electrical design considerations.
• Communicate project status to appropriate parties as required.
