Job summary

RMS Energy seeks an Electrical Drafter to lead technical design projects and support critical energy infrastructure across the U.S. This remote role provides engineering design services to the electrical power industry, including substation layout, protection and control, grounding, interconnections, and energization support.

You will develop drawings using AutoCAD or similar tools, understand complex schematics, and collaborate with the team to move designs from concept to detail while

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of power industry experience.
• Proficiency with Substation Design Suite and Autodesk tools.
• Ability to interpret one-line and three-line diagrams and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering drawings using AutoCAD or similar drafting software.
• Understand physical layouts, one-line/ three-line diagrams, electrical schematics, equipment, and code requirements.
• Take designs from early concept to detailed designs by collaborating with the engineering team.
• Mentor junior designers and develop training for the team.
