American Electric Power in Texas seeks a Distribution Network Engineer responsible for complex underground engineering within the 216V downtown network and associated 480V spot loads, including modeling, load evaluations and system modifications.

This role requires collaboration with operations and field teams, leadership guidance for other engineers, and a strong emphasis on safety, compliance and continuous improvement within a large utility environment.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• PE license in any U.S. state is encouraged.
• Experience with distribution networks is preferred.

Mansioni

• Design and develop electric distribution network layouts.
• Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Perform cable rating studies and cable pulling calculations.
• Conduct load flow analysis, voltage drop analyses and reliability assessments.
• Monitor system performance and recommend upgrades or corrective actions.
• Coordinate work with customers to meet service delivery dates.
