Job summary

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is seeking a Senior Electrical Designer (SmartPlant) for a 12-month contract in Ogden, UT, to support USAF Sentinel program EMD. The role requires planning, developing, and reviewing electrical designs, including 3D models and 2D drawings, with strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.

The ideal candidate has extensive SmartPlant 3D, AutoCAD experience, and knowledge of NEC/NEMA/IEEE standards, with DoD/USAF project exposure. U.S.

Qualifications

• Requires AA/AS or Certificate in Engineering/CAD with 7-8 years of experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
• Must be a United States citizen and able to pass pre-employment checks.
• Experience with electrical 3D design for DoD/USAF projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of NEC/NEMA/IEEE standards and Bechtel procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and review electrical engineering designs and drawings.
• Coordinate with clients and disciplines; lead design reviews and discussions.
• Produce 2D/3D CAD models, BOMs, and installation details.
• Apply SmartPlant 3D, AutoCAD, and Bechtel standards to projects.
• Ensure designs comply with codes, regulations, and contract requirements.
