Brown and Caldwell, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Designer in the United States to support water and wastewater facilities with 2D/3D electrical and I&C design using Revit and AutoCAD.

The role involves field data gathering, cross-discipline coordination, and mentoring junior staff, with hybrid/remote options and travel to site data collection. The ideal candidate brings 8+ years in power distribution, 3D/BIM design, and knowledge of NFPA 70E, with a strong background in AutoCAD and Revit;

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electrical engineering technology or related field is required.
• Significant experience with electrical design using AutoCAD, Revit, Plant3D; BIM proficiency expected.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E and electrical safety standards.
• Field data gathering experience and ability to travel to sites.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute tasks related to electrical drawing development.
• Perform cable tray and conduit design.
• Assist with layout of electrical equipment.
• Carry out lighting, devices, and circuit design.
• Develop competence in using Revit / AutoCAD.
• Coordinate model data across disciplines.
• Understand detail requirements at each design gate.
• Manage schedules for electrical equipment and panels.
• Ability to take on additional assignments as needed.
