Job summary

Quanta Power Solutions seeks a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our EPC team supporting power generation and distribution projects, including gas turbines, renewables, battery energy storage systems (BESS), substations, and transmission systems.

You will lead the development of high-quality mechanical designs while collaborating across engineering disciplines to deliver safe, efficient, and constructible solutions for complex infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 7 years of industrial mechanical engineering experience, preferably supporting EPC projects.
• Proficiency with piping design, piping stress analysis, pipe supports, steam traps and safety devices, and industrial utility systems.
• Strong communication and ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual layouts, preliminary designs, and cost studies for mechanical systems.
• Apply advanced engineering methods to piping systems and utilities.
• Produce estimate-quality designs, take-offs, and detailed sketches.
• Perform piping stress analysis and component selection.
• Review vendor drawings and provide mechanical input across disciplines.
• Support drafting teams and assist with procurement and construction packages.
• Conduct field verification and site support; mentor junior staff.
