Job summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions seeks an experienced Electrical Designer to join our drafting and design team across multiple U.S. locations.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, 3D design, and cross-disciplinary coordination to deliver safe, cost-effective nuclear-focused engineering deliverables. Requires a minimum of 8 years in design/drafting with a strong electrical background and proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, or SmartPlant 3D.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in design and/or drafting with strong electrical background.
• Proficient with 3D design software (MicroStation, AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, SmartPlant 3D).
• DOE and/or commercial nuclear industry experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to designers and engineers.
• Review and check design work for quality and constructability.
• Develop practical solutions to address drawing discrepancies and design challenges.
• Manage multiple assignments with budget and schedule commitments.
• Collaborate across disciplines to improve constructability of design documents.
• Prepare advanced instrumentation and control deliverables.
