Job summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to guide design, analysis, and delivery of electrical systems for nuclear and other complex industrial projects. The role emphasizes leadership, extensive EE experience, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

The position involves design oversight, technical reviews, and occasional travel to project sites to ensure safety, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance across North America.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10-15+ years of electrical engineering experience in nuclear or complex industrial facilities.
• Leadership experience in electrical design across multi-discipline teams.
• PE licensure or ability to obtain licensure in a reasonable timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, review, and coordination of electrical designs for nuclear, DOE, and other regulated projects.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineers and designers.
• Review and approve engineering calculations, specifications, and design packages.
• Perform AC/DC power system analyses using ETAP (short circuit, coordination, arc flash, voltage drop, motor starting, load flow).
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and act as primary electrical engineering contact for clients and stakeholders.
• Travel to client offices and project sites to support design reviews and construction coordination.
