Job summary

Hunt Electric in Eagan, MN is seeking an Electrical Designer 2 with 5+ years of electrical design experience to coordinate and create electrical designs for commercial projects. This role offers a hybrid work schedule and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to meet project schedules and budgets.

The candidate will produce drawings and reports, maintain NEC compliance, and mentor junior staff while working with a team of engineers and designers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with relevant design experience.
• Minimum of five years of significant electrical design or engineering experience using Revit, AutoCAD, or similar software.
• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code and Energy Code.
• Strong communication, collaboration, customer focus, problem solving, and delivering quality work.

Responsibilities

• Produce Electrical Drawings and Engineering Reports within schedule and budget under supervision.
• Lead smaller projects under supervision of an Engineer or Design Manager.
• Collaborate with project management, estimating, and field teams through all project phases.
• Provide technical support to other departments and ensure compliance with NEC, local codes, and internal standards.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and designers to uphold standards.
