Job summary

Bechtel seeks an experienced Electrical Engineering Designer to plan, develop, and review electrical design work for complex projects. You will produce 2-D/3-D CAD drawings, review calculations, and coordinate with clients to meet regulatory standards.

You will lead junior designers, ensure designs align with NEC and industry codes, and support 3D modeling activities across multiple data center and semiconductor projects. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or international equivalent; 8–10 years of relevant experience, or 12–14 years in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Leads or administers electrical designers using CAD tools to prepare layouts, study drawings, 2-D/3-D models and construction drawings.
• Coordinate with clients and other disciplines to ensure designs meet requirements and standards.
• Review electrical drawings, calculations, and bid summaries; prepare material requisitions and bid evaluations.
• Ensure designs comply with NEC, NEMA/ANSI/IEEE standards and project installation codes.
• Support constructability reviews and design standardization through procedures.
