Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a CAD designer for electrical engineering roles on the Fab 62 project in Chandler, AZ. You will develop 2-D/3-D designs for electrical systems, including earthwork interfaces, foundations, and building services, leveraging AutoCAD, Revit, S3D, and Navisworks to ensure quality and schedule adherence.

Collaborating across disciplines, you will review drawings, coordinate with construction teams, and support design changes while ensuring compliance with NEC and related standards.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 2–5 years of relevant experience (or 6–9 years without a degree).
• Knowledge of NEC, NEMA/ANSI/IEEE standards.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, S3D, Navisworks.
• Experience with electrical equipment cable tray, raceway, and lighting design.
• Experience with cable management systems (SETROUTE).
• Experience with high-reliability facilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare 2-D/3-D CAD layouts and drawings for electrical systems.
• Develop designs for electrical rooms, cable tray, conduit, and lighting.
• Coordinate 3D model activities with other disciplines.
• Review drawings for quality, accuracy, and completion.
• Assist with material requisitions and bid evaluations.
• Ensure designs meet codes and project standards.
• Resolve design issues with engineering, construction, and client.
