Job summary

Henderson Engineers is seeking a Designer III to design building systems and contribute to project design documents. You will work with project teams, perform calculations, and help ensure design quality and coordination across disciplines.

The role includes mentoring less experienced designers, participating in project management tasks, and applying Henderson's design guidelines and standards. Proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering; 6 years of relevant experience or 8 years with high school diploma or equivalent.
• FE exam preferred; additional certifications (e.g., LEED, CDP) preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering design, A&E industry, codes, and design guides; Proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu.

Responsibilities

• Design and draft basic to advanced building systems.
• Prepare design documents and calculations in coordination with project teams.
• Mentor less experienced designers and provide technical guidance to the team.
• Support project management activities and assist in client communication.

Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering

Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam preferred

LEED/WELL sustainability certifications preferred
