Job summary

Henderson Engineers seeks a Designer III to design and document building systems, coordinate with project teams, and mentor junior designers. You will support project management activities and contribute to design calculations and technical reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 6 years of relevant experience or 8 years of experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• FE exam completion is preferred.
• Certifications such as LEED or WELL are preferred for sustainability knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Performs calculations and designs basic to advanced engineering systems with a high degree of independence.
• Prepares system layouts, drawings and schematics.
• Reviews shop drawings for conformance to plans and specs.
• Manages project tasks and mentors junior designers.
• Leads with technical guidance and team coordination.
• Supports business development and client coordination as needed.
