Job summary

InfraPartners designs and deploys high-density AI data centres, manufacturing them as modular products. We seek an Electrical Design Lead to own electrical design across our product suite and client projects.

This senior IC role reports to the Central Engineering Director and operates in a fully remote setting. You will drive standards, review external submissions, and coordinate with mechanical, BIM, and structural teams to resolve design clashes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 10+ years of electrical design experience, including in data centres or mission-critical environments
• Strong knowledge of LV and MV power distribution, UPS architectures, and generator systems
• Strong working knowledge of UK and international codes and standards (BS 7671, IEC, NFPA 70 or equivalent)
• Direct experience reviewing, challenging, and auditing work produced by external consultants and contractors

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for projects and products from concept through to IFC
• Drive electrical design input for SRD product and for bespoke client deployments
• Develop and maintain global electrical standards, reference designs, and technical specifications
• Own the technical review of load calculations, studies, schematics, and layouts
• Guide, mentor, and review deliverables of external design consultants and partners
• Review vendor submittals and supplier deliverables to ensure performance requirements
• Provide technical direction on how MEP contractors are specified and appointed
• Coordinate with mechanical, structural, architectural, and BIM teams to resolve design clashes
• Support factory and site teams by resolving design queries and variations quickly
• Lead electrical input for equipment redesigns, including rear-door heat exchanger units
• Research and develop electrical architectures for AI data centre requirements
• Collaborate with Advanced Research & Engineering on liquid cooling integration and emerging technologies
