Job summary

Labor Solutions, LLC is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to design wire harnesses and cable assemblies, develop electrical schematics, and collaborate with customers from concept through production. You will mentor engineers and drive continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with IPC, NEC, UL, CSA, IEC, and customer requirements.

This role offers visibility across multiple projects within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 7+ years of electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience designing wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and control panels.
• Strong knowledge of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience performing electrical testing, troubleshooting, and validation.
• CAD and electrical design software experience.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into manufacturable designs.
• Excellent communication and project leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Design custom wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and electromechanical interconnect systems.
• Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, harness drawings, and technical documentation.
• Partner directly with customers to develop innovative electrical solutions.
• Perform electrical analysis, component selection, design verification, and validation testing.
• Evaluate manufacturability and support quoting activities for new business opportunities.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for electrical product issues.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across multiple projects.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) from concept through production launch.
