Job summary

SOC LLC seeks an experienced Sr. Electrical Design Engineer to independently develop electrical designs for renovations and upgrades to federal buildings and power distribution systems at a government site in Indian Head, Maryland.

The role requires a strong background in electrical power systems, design reviews, and documentation, plus the ability to manage projects and coordinate with stakeholders onsite. A Secret clearance or ability to obtain is required; U.S. citizenship is necessary.

Qualifications

• PE license preferred but not required.
• 8+ years electrical design experience.
• 5+ years in electrical power systems design for buildings.
• Experience with bonding, grounding, and lightning protection.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70 NEC.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain.
• U.S. citizen; willing to work onsite in Indian Head, MD.

Responsibilities

• Develop requirements and perform technical design reviews.
• Prepare design packages with drawings, specs, and cost estimates.
• Assess UFC compliance and end-user requirements.
• Support proposal development for renovations.
• Guide design process from concept to final package.
• Prepare memoranda summarizing requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and design team.
• Serve as project or design manager on assigned projects.
