Job summary

RTX in Sterling, VA is seeking an Electrical Engineering II to design, analyze and test electrical hardware for training simulators. You will work with mechanical, software and systems teams to ensure robust power budgets, schematics, and interconnects for military and commercial use.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, U.S. citizenship, and an available government clearance. Onsite work with 15% travel to customer sites is expected, with comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Typically requires a STEM degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, integrate, test, and document moderately complex electrical hardware.
• Capture, analyze, and create requirements for medium complexity components.
• Collaborate with Mechanical, Software and Systems Engineering teams.
• Contribute to hardware integration, documentation, and testing activities.
• Prepare electrical assembly documentation and manage cabling and interconnects.
