Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Electrical Engineer 5 in the United States to design and analyze electrical systems for critical infrastructure. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
7 years of relevant experience.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

Develop basic to highly complex electrical designs for master plans, power systems, protection and generation models, facility power systems, sustainability and renewable energy systems.
Perform power system studies and electrical calculations, including lighting simulations and layouts.
Conduct site reviews and technical studies to confirm existing conditions and align designs with requirements.
Contribute to the firm's Technical Knowledge Management with papers and case studies.
Prepare and submit technical papers for publication in industry journals.
Collaborate with sales to develop proposals and ensure alignment with standards.
Meet with clients to understand design needs and develop technical solutions.
Attend industry events to strengthen expertise and visibility.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
Review and supervise the project work of junior engineers.
