Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Design Engineer Electrical Systems for gas turbine power plants and CC Power Plants, based in Greenville, SC. You will drive design and field installation, supporting CM&Us and NPIs across the project lifecycle.

You will collaborate with global teams to improve reliability, efficiency, and safety of accessory systems and balance of plant equipment, contributing to a diverse portfolio of upgrades and revamps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of professional experience within power or related industry, with a strong background in field services, electrical engineering, or related function.

Responsibilities

• Engineering Excellence: Solve complex technical challenges across GT and CCPP projects, ensuring all designs meet safety and engineering standards.
• System Integration: Oversee the seamless integration of new systems within existing power plant infrastructure.
• Documentation & Quality Control: Maintain design documentation and ensure BOMs meet electrical scope and contractual requirements.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Liaise with Manufacturing, Sourcing, Global Engineering, and Advanced Technologies for project alignment.
• Vendor Management: Lead technical engagement with vendors to ensure conformance to design and customer specs.
• Team Contribution: Contribute to CM&U and NPI projects within Application and Requisition engineering teams.
