Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Electrical Technical Specialist to design and support critical infrastructure for our Building Engineering Services Group. Based in the United States, you will perform engineering tasks under a licensed engineer, produce CAD drawings, prepare calculations, and develop contract documents.

You will coordinate with multiple disciplines, utilize CAD/design software, and mentor Technical Specialists as needed.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 15 years of engineering experience in the discipline to be supported.
Aptitude and demonstrated hands-on experience with computer applications specific to the discipline to be supported.
Extensive knowledge of industry standards specific to the discipline being supported.
Proven ability to work in multi-disciplinary environments.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Perform engineering assignments under the direct supervision of a licensed engineer.
Design tasks involving judgment in evaluating, selecting, and applying engineering techniques and procedures.
Produce design drawings and construction documents using CAD and other design software.
Prepare design and quantity calculations.
Create specifications and contract documents.
Coordinate with other disciplines as necessary.
When required, coordinate the work of one or more Technical Specialists.
