Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Senior Facilities Design Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical design for large-scale aerospace and manufacturing facilities. You will serve as Engineer of Record for electrical systems and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver compliant, high-performance designs.

You will conduct load calculations, short circuit studies, and arc flash analyses, while mentoring junior staff and guiding project scheduling and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Active Professional Engineering (PE) license in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of progressive electrical design experience focusing on facilities/building systems.
• Experience as Engineer of Record on medium to large-scale facilities projects.
• Proficiency in electrical design software (AutoCAD, Revit MEP, SKM, ETAP).
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, NFPA 101, IBC, and local codes.
• Experience with medium-voltage power distribution up to 35kV.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for large aerospace/manufacturing facilities including power distribution and fire alarm systems.
• Develop drawings, specs, calculations, and deliverables meeting NEC/NFPA/IBC/IFC standards.
• Serve as Engineer of Record for electrical systems on applicable projects.
• Coordinate with architects, civil, structural, mechanical, and process engineers.
• Oversee work by external design consultants and contractors to ensure design intent.
